Możecie uważać, że na taki wyjazd potrzeba dużo odwagi albo szaleństwa, ale tak naprawdę wystarczy po prostu wyjść z domu.

Today together with K we set on our hitchhiking trip around Europe. We start in Thorn - the city of elderly ladies in mohair berets, the birthplace of Nicolaus Copernicus that smells like gingerbread. Next stop - Ostrava, then, in twelve days, Rome. And after that? This one we don't know yet.
If you ever thought about such a trip you should see a TED Talks video "How to travel the world with almost no money" by Tomislav Perko. It was shown to me by a young and handsom Italian, about whom you're certainly going to hear again.
You may think that it takes a lot of courage or madness to go for an adventure like this. In fact, however, all you need is walk outside your home.

PS. For those of you who have been wondering what the title of our blog stands for - in Polish "pierniki" is gingerbread and "popierniczeni" is - to be exact - "after gingerbread" which means "extremely crazy".
